PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cucumber Marketmore is a traditional favorite dark green slicing cucumber with a mild,and tasty, crisp flavour. The fruits develop from the side shoots and grow to be about 20 cm long and 5 cm thick.

Growing Cucumber from Seeds
Sow indoors in May in pots under glass at 25C and harden off gradually before planting out. Sow outdoors in the growing site in June, 30cm deep and 50cm between plants, 2 seeds per station.
Plant in mounds to allow water to drain away from the stem thus preventing stem rot.
Thin to the strongest plant as soon as seedlings emerge. Water plentifully and often.
As the fruits grow on the shoots, it is recommended not to prune the shoots entirely.
For the best taste, pick the fruits as soon as they are large enough to ensure a continuous supply. If cucumbers are left hanging too long, growth stagnates and the end of the cucumber can become bitter.
